Get a one with a CR engine

What's the cr bit then?

CR is common rail as opposed to the earlier PD engines. In the vRS the CR came in with the face lift Octys from 2010 iirc. I'm sure someone with some technical knowledge will outline the differences.

They are designed to work with diesel particle filter (dpf) unlike the tdi engine that had it inflicted upon it
