Cleaning fuel injector nozzles

Whilst my IM is off I'm going to clean the fuel injector nozzles if needed. I've got the VW tool and a set of 4 brand new seal kits.  Is there an easy and safe way to clean the nozzles by hand?  I don't have anything I can rig to put power the injectors, so my thought is to just give the nozzle tips a clean with seafoam/carb cleaner with a small nylon brush.  

 

Is this OK to do?
