Saying hi and new car

Featured Replies

Hi all, new to this site and owning a Skoda.

I have picked up a 2010 Octavia 1.6 tdi and my overall impression is very good, I do however have one ot two questions.

1. Does the hatch back use the same towbar as the estate?

2. Does the car need a certain wiring loom or plug or does it just get spliced into the cars wiring?

3. I want to replace the Bollero stereo as it isn't bluetooth, has anyone bought a direct replacement from Ebay or somewhere esle that they can recommend?

4. Does anyone have any pics of the spare wheel insert that holds all the tools as I'm missing a few bits?

Thanks for all the help

Hi and welcome our yeti has a bolero and it has bluetooth I think it has a separate part/module to make it function it came from the factory with it fitted

Yes, you don't need to change the Bolero for Bluetooth. You will need a suitable Bluetooth module though. Have a look at eg carsystems.pl for a range of different ones. These will function with your Bolero.

IIRC hatch and estate towbars are different part numbers so I suspect are model specific.

Thanks for the input, I do have an old parrot which may suit my needs. I'm thinking this and a compatible cable I already own may be the most cost effective way of doing it, do I need a cambus 'bit' fitted to the cable or not?

Can't help with the technical stuff I'm afraid. But you will also need a mic. Unless your parrot kit already has one.

Parrot has the mike, big problem at the moment is finding somewhere to place/hide/fit all the cabling. There isn't a lot of room behind the stereo, trying to work out how to remove the ash tray/storage and see if it fits behind there.
