VRS fsi steering creaks and clutch judder

Featured Replies

Had my Octavia VRS fsi 2009 Lt Ed no 362 for about a month and have noticed the steering has started to creek when turning steering at low speeds or stationary. Pretty sure I can hear it while driving but engine/road noise masks it slightly.

Has this been a common fault or does anyone know anything they can share before I get it up on a ramp?

Have also had the clutch playing up when cold. I can feel resistance in the clutch pedal during travel and occasionally can be fealt while clutch pedal held down. Is this clutch judder or the release bearing?

Either way hopefully will have it all fixed under dealers warranty but want to know what it is myself before it goes in.

All help is appreciated.

Top strut mounts could be the culprit, when they go faulty they don't work as they should and twist the spring when turning. Ps, no need to tell us the edition number, it has no relevance to any mechanical part of the car.
