Replacing thermostat on wife's 59 plate VRS diesel (CR engine).......is it a swine of a job?!

From start to finnish it took me about 4 hours, hey ho.

Next time (hopefully there isn't one  ) take some pictures and post here...

Should've done, apologies.

Basically the throttle and EGR housings need to come out the way......and the supporting bracket that's bolted to the block. Dipstick tube off to.

I had the car jacked up and the undertray off but I think this wasn't really required and the job can be done with all 4 wheels on the ground.

I temporarily refitted the dipstick tube when I removed the 'stat housing or else I would've got coolant in the sump.

That's about it really, reassembly is a reversal of removal as Haynes would say!!
