Epc code

Featured Replies

Hello, I recently purchase a 2011 Octavia II with the 1.6 L engine. Coming home one afternoon the car began to lose acceleration and the warning light (EPC) popped up. Took it to a reputable ASE certified technician who said that the (TPS) throttle position sensor was the problem. The sensor was replaced and we are still getting the same EPC warning light as well as a host of other error codes popping up on the diagnostic machine. The technician said that he checked the earth connector as well as some connectors in the plenum under the wiper mechanism. Has anyone experienced this problem or have a possible solution? Any help with regards to this would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help but suspect that those who can would need the codes that are being given on the machine. That should assist in identifying the fault.

Okay thanks. Will have to get a list of the codes from the technician.

Hi there. Just a little update. We found the problem and low and behold it's the ECU. Does anyone know where I can get one at a reasonable cost or even a used one from a crashed Octavia?

A used one will be tricky as they are security coded to the vehicle.
