Hi, my Fabia 1.2 TSI 90 engine sounds a little grumbly when accelerating through the gears to about 2000 rpm under load while warming up and I wondered whether it's normal. It's done it from new and I thought perhaps it would quieten down when run in, but it's done 1200 miles now and it's just the same. It's nowhere near as noticeable when the engine is hot and is very smooth when revved while the car is stationary. I will get it checked when the car goes in shortly for a 1000 mile check, but wondered whether I am worrying unnecessarily.

Hi, mine is the same. Done about 12000 km. I think its because the ECU adds more air when the engine is cold. No need to worry.
