New double din unit

My forfour has a decent Kenwood double din with nav, bluetooth, iPod connectivity however it doesn't support the later apple units (lightning cable stuff) and it is a bit dated for me. 

Whats hot at the minute? I want DAB, Nav, CD and bluetooth but there seems to be quite a choice. There is apple carplay and android auto too..and I don't really get it! I have an iPad I use for Spotify (wired using the cable) and my android phone for bluetooth. I do this because every car I use or have used won't allow me to have the iPad setup for bluetooth music streaming while having the phone connected for calls. I also use different units because I have a massive data allowance on the iPad and you get more functionality with spotify free on the iPad compared to the phone edition. 

Basically I need a unit that will allow me to everything, at the same time haha!
