Roof rack or bars on MK2 Fabia?

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a 2014 Fabia hatchback which doesn't appear to have anywhere for a roof rack to attach to.  Is it possible to fit a rack to the car or am I stuck with trailers or soft padded roof straps?

Thanks in advance.

If we are talking about the mk2 then yes roof bars can go on, open one of your doors and look underneath the top part of the door and you'll see a circular hole, they slot in there. I'm actually fitting mine on today ready for a trip tomorrow so I'll take a picture and show you if you don't find one in the meantime.

I am currently selling a set of Thule roof bars that re (mostly) compatible. According to Halfords yours requires the fitting kit 1599 and my kit has 1594. It would either just actually fit or you would need a new fitting kit which is the cheapest part of the bars.

Might save yourself some cash compared to buying new! :)

What's the model number of your actual Thule bars Phil?

They are 869 135cm long.

I have the same ones as Ant...quite pricey but the black wing bars look real nice. Real easy to fit and remove too.
