I'm looking to swap my trusty Octavia 2 Scout for a shiny new Superb 3 L&K (4x4 naturally  ) so I've been pouring over the brochures, car configurator and this forum to pick out all the extras  :p

 

One extra I'm a bit confused about is what includes the phone box?

• Base L&K (I don't think this includes it).
• Wireless phone charging with Bluetooth+ and WiFi (£300).
• Premium WLAN with integrated high-speed LTE internet (£400).
• Premium WLAN and Phone box (£650).

Before the MY17 tweaks it was easy as the wireless charging plus Bluetooth+ and WiFi was the only option. Now it doesn't seem entirely clear which ones include a phone box and there's no bloody up to date brochure 

 

I often end up in fairly remote areas so the phone box would be a massive boon for me and I don't need integrated LTE as I've got 14Gb of tethered data on my phone 

i have first version without Wireless phone charging,

useless thing, it doesn't provide GPS signal, also have doubts about LTE(4G)

and too small for Note 4

The phone box is an extra option on all trim levels, I specced it on my L&K and initially was unsure if it did anything so i did a check, one road that I always dropped a phone call in any other car now (just) holds onto it, it is also big enough to get an iPhone 6+ / 7+ in (mine is also in a bulky Otterbox case)

Thanks Gizmo! I found it a bit weird that the new SE Tech trim included the phone box but the L&K didn't. Good to hear that even a 6+ with an Otterbox case will fit - should have no problems with my 6S+
