Map Updates Pre MkIII

Featured Replies

I have just spoken to a very nice, helpful person at SUK Customer services about updating my Amundsen H/U Sat Nav on my 2014 Yeti L&K, As i asked at a local dealer about updating the maps while it was being serviced and pointed to the SUK Update website to download .

As you can all guess from the date of my car, this was useless as these are for the MK3 Fabia / Superb / Octavia.

SO ! next question, how else do i do this ?   Answer - Buy the DVD from Skoda for £166 ,  Reaction - No I dont.

So i have 3 solutions,

1- Does anyone know a cheaper way for me to update maps ?

2- Replace the H/U without Sat Nav and use Google map.

3- Just use H/U till sat nav becomes useless then switch to Google maps on mobile device

Option 2 comes with some risk around loosing the steering wheel controls for Radio / Music /  Phone, along with parking sensor.

Which leaves me with 1 & 3.

Can anyone point me to a way of doing option 1 ?
