Hello everyone. Thank you for letting me join this forum, I'm sure it will be invaluable to me.

After years of saving and scrimping, suffering such pains as a second hand Fiat Punto and quirky old Citroen C4, I am due to take delivery of a brand new Octavia in November. 1.0 TSI SE.

    The Octavia has some tough tasks to live up to that need to improve from the C4. Did they bother to move the bonnet release when converting to RHD? Ditto for the tyre pressure reminder? Or do I need to look for 20 minutes before I check the passenger side. Is the glovebox handle made from a material with structural integrity that surpasses balsa wood? That sort of thing.

    I'm a hard man to please.

    You're not going to like where the bonnet release is....
