Central locking problem

Featured Replies

I bought an Octavia Ambiente TD Estate 2002 just over 2 months ago. Purchased an "extended warranty" from the dealer. A couple of days ago the central locking started playing up. It just locks all the time, to get in or out of the car or open the boot you have to press "unlock" and move fast to get the door open before it locks again. Yesterday the problems also started with the windscreen wipers, I couldn't turn them off. They were okay for a while this morning but the problem has started again.

I had noticed that the seal on the windscreen appears to have lifted up. When we took the car back to the dealer to get it checked out this morning he made some comment about the problem possibly being "water damage". Oddly, this was before we had mentioned the windscreen seal.

Has anyone else had similar problems, or any problems with the warranty and "water damage" under similar circumstances? Thanks.
