Golf sv

Featured Replies

This emission thing has been on the back of my mind for a few months now and I started looking for an altrenative to my greenline yeti

At the time on buying my new yeti my first choice was a golf sv Gt but at 26k there was no chance that I would pay that much for any car

So ended up with my greenline at 17400 new

Anyway fast forward I've been into a VW dealer today to get a trade in price on my yeti against a golf sv Gt

2.0 tdi. With 6k on the clock and 7 months old 16reg

It works out at mine plus 6k wich is a very good offer on mine as a trade in the golf is £ 18600

The only thing stoping me signing the papers is the 2.0 tdi 150 bhp

I thought it was a new Scr engine and not a tweeked euro6 cr engine

So have you got any advise on the euro 6 2.0tdi cr engine

Would you buy a 2.0tdi cr 150 engine given the last year

What do you mean by tweeked euro6 cr engine?

If it is a Euro 6 emission engine and nothing happened in the last year with those.

The Defeat Device Scandal was Euro 5 engines.

Or...............................use the engine issue as a bargaining tool to get EXTRA discount.  :D  (£4k????)

With the new 2.0 engine being an Scr

I had presumed that VW had tweeked the 2.0cr engine to meet the euro 6 requirements

Or why would they have introduced an Scr version

Use the fact that the VW Group sold you a Yeti with an engine that they are recalling to do 'The Fix' on to get the best Trade in price on it and

a good deal against the VW you want.

I would not worry about buying a 2.0 TDI 150ps Euro 6 that does not need Ad-blue, that should be considered a bonus IMO.

Thinking of picking one of these up for an MPV. Sometimes tempted by a C-Max due to all the toys you get for top spec. But then you get a Ford.
