I was just posting to ask if anyone has bought a car from this garage. KTL in Essex. They currently have a silver vrs for sale which looks quite nice with a decent level of equipment. I have spoke to them and he seemed a nice bloke although i wasn't too impressed with the trade in price he offered for my Leon so that hasn't enhanced my already sceptical opinion on car dealers!!

Cheers i did try that one but to be fair he did knock a few quid off the Octavia. I prefer to haggle when I'm viewing the car but it's a fair trek for me to see the car hence why i spoke about money over the phone. Any opinions on the Octavias price etc?

Car looks ok in the pictures,there are some scratches on the front bumper around the front fog light area & paint is coming off one of the calipers,other than that it looks ok for a standard spec vrs,price wise probably about right for a dealer,my 2008 (58) plate vrs got traded for £3500 then appeared for sale with another dealer for £5200.

Yes that kind of profit is what really annoys me with dealers. Over 1,500 quid profit on one deal is shocking. Pure greed if you ask me. £3,500 is what he's offered me for my 07 Leon FR tfsi. Not too bad i suppose but he'll probably sell it for £4,500 or more. I did see the marks on the bumper he never mentioned them when i asked about the general condition. I also asked about any rusty sills as we know the Pre FL is bad for it but he said it was rust free. An m.o.t check shows previous sill damage not sure what that's all about.

There is a few suspension advisories on the mot as well so maybe factor in some money off for those,the sill damage & undertray damage is a bit of concern,id pay close attention to the repair in that area when you view it.

Cheers Mickey. I havnt hpi'd it so no idea if it's been in an accident but the sill damage puzzled me. Has it been jacked up wrong possibly? Advisories for what sounds like worn console bushes which is normal for the Octavia so more money to pay. Shocker starting to leak too that won't improve. No mention of a cambelt either he didn't move that much on price!!
