just got a phone from the garage. They had noticed a oil sweat located around the turbo intake. 2012 octavia 1.6 diesel. 95000 km

 

the car has only 5000 km left of the guarantee. they recommended a engine wash and that i inspected afther a while to see if the sweat continued.

 

any pointers on what i should demand the dealer to do here? could it be a turbo thats about to fail?

Could just be the usual accumulation of engine oil that's captured by the engine ventilation recycling system.

Whip the bottom hose off the intercooler and you'll find plenty of oil.
