oil leak front of engine

Featured Replies

Hello all!

I am new to the forum and have scanned all the threads but can't seem to find a solution to my problem. My car has developed quite a bad oil leak literally over night from around where the auxiliary belt is located and it's dripping down to the intercooler pipe and where the wishbone bolts on. I am just wondering if there are any common places that go such as an oil seal somewhere which would cause this leak. I have a skoda octavia 1.9 tdi pd 105 hp and it has covered 213k, I am assuming it's an ex taxi.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi, Welcome to this helpful forum, i am sure someone will be able to help you. With regards to your leak, Have you tried to clean the leaked oil off the parts that are covered? if you do that, you may be able to locate where it is leaking from?

Sorry, that is not much help, but it is what i would do first.

Anyway, welcome to the forum
