Driver assist 1.2 TSI

Featured Replies

Good evening everyone. Recently on start up this logo shows as not available. On the console all the boxes are ticked as active however. Any thoughts please?

Do you mean front assist?

Hello max, this may just be because you have to drive off and exceed 6mph (it may be higher) before the system become active (available). For example, your abs doesn't become active until you drive off and exceed 6mph (it may be higher, it tells you in the owners manual what the speed is). So, to test it just start up drive off and then check again.

Sorry , yes I did mean Front assist. It does alert me to its unavailability on the move from time to time.

It can't function if the radar sensor (in the lower front grille, under the numberplate) is obscured, or dirty. If the sensor is clean, and looks like it's pointing in the right direction, then take it to the dealer- the car should still be in warranty!
