Well it's finally here, that's not strictly true as I drove away from Autosales in Burntwood last Friday. The weather has been so wet it's only been dry enough recently to take some pictures.

 

My first impressions are really positive ones. The DSG is really smooth with great functionality and flexibility, and the navigation has some nice touches too. The engine seems to be quite powerful but as I'm still 'running it in' I haven't bounced the rev counter needle into the red yet! Although I have noticed a buzzing sound from the engine/transmission, I would describe it as a mechanical sound more electrical, Mechatronics maybe? Just a new sound in a new car to get used to.

 

Fit and finish seems to be good with everything to be well screwed together and the paint is glorious too.

 

I now looking for every opportunity to go out and drive it now. I've great expectations that this going to be one of my favourite cars that I have owned.

The buzzing may be the injectors- if the radio is off, and on good smooth tarmac, I can hear them in my car on a light throttle. Because the TSIs are direct injected the injectors fire like a diesel, at a very high pressure at precise timings, rather than more continuously like in older cars.

 

The race blue looks fantastic, definitely my favourite colour on the Fabia. I still like my red though

Nice photos and great color choice.Ive got the same car on order apart from the  sunset glass .Build week 19 at the minute just hoping my crappy knee  can last that long.
