Balero doesn't bookmark anymore. Solutions?

Featured Replies

The new Balero fitted to the 2017 Octavia no longer seems to bookmark tracks you are listening to properly.

If you are half way through a track and switch the stereo off, when you return to the car the track then starts from the beginning (rather than where you left off) It does seem to remember where it was for maybe 10/15 mins but that's not a lot of use!

It's not a problem at all with music but it's a royal PITA if, as I do, you listen to audiobooks with perhaps 90min long 'tracks'

I've gone through the menu's trying to find any adjustment as well as a service menu I found (hold menu button) but no joy.

I did a search but couldn't find this mentioned, so any solutions?

Hmm it appears I can't spell Bolero but no matter.

I've found a solution/workaround and although not ideal it does mean tracks will carry on from the last point now.

If you pause the track and then switch to a different media source before turning the ignition or the unit off when you return to the track it picks up from where it left off.

I'm fairly convinced this is still a bug though.
