Hi all... 

 

I haven't bought my Skoda just yet but I'm looking at a 2010 Superb 2.0, 

 

I thought it best to do some homework this time after the oil pump failed and toasted the engine in my 2009 VW Passat 2.0 CR engine!!

 

 

 

 

Welcome along :hi:.  Whereabouts in the country are you?  Go for the 170 TDi and in Elegance spec if you can get one.  I've had two of them before and I was very happy with them.  The 140 isn't bad either, just make sure you go for the CR engine in that as the old PD unit which would have been knocking around until early 2011.  All the 170s were CR so much smoother and more refined.

    my '09 Passat was a 170 Sport with the CR engine, shat itself :biggrin:

     

    I'll put up a post in the owners section later on and vent my fury!
