Fuel sender reader

Featured Replies

Hi, can anyone help me please? I have a Combi 2007 model and my fuel gauge did start to operate when it felt like it. The problem first arose when i started the motor the fuel gauge worked perfectly, after a couple of minutes the gauge reads empty, now when I start the motor I don't get any reading at all. Does this mean I need a complete new unit or just a sensor?

This may or may not help but for what it's worth...

I had an issue a while back whereby the fuel gauge would actually go up as I drove, starting at say 1/4 then ending nearer 1/2 or even more. Turned out it was the tank sender unit, replaced under warranty.
