Auxillary drive related whine

Featured Replies

Superb 170 SE

I notice a couple of times a faint whine when turning left lock slow into the car park at work and recently noticed when I heard the whine that the noise disappear when i turn off the aircon.

I have had the aircon regassed recently but I don't think this is related.

Any thoughts, any of these components likely to fail after 3 1/2 years and only 23K

I had this with my Superb I after a re-gas. The climate control became more effective and put extra load on the compressor and associated belt. If this is slightly out of adjustment it also may slip slightly - if this hppens aux belt should be replaced
