Brakes juddering & Towbar compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Couple of questions,

Firstly - the brakes on the vehicle, this week I have driven to, around, and from Cornwall. I have noticed that when braking from high speeds there is quite a severe judder when braking? Any ideas of what this could be, the vehicle does brake just judders when doing so.

Secondly - I am looking at fitting a tow bar to my MK2 Estate 1.9 TDI - looking to get one second hand as pennys are tight - will a saloon/hatchback version fit the estate? - Thanks in advance.

Brake judder is normally associated with warp discs or inconsistent pad transfer on discs.  A new set of discs and pads should fix it.

I'm with wiilydog. Sounds like the discs are warped.

Cant help with the tow bar but I believe the tow bars are of a different design between the hatch back and the estate.
