Air conditioning not working along with other fault codes

Featured Replies

Hi,

The aircon has not been working in our Octavia 2.0 TDi for a while now.  When I scan for fault codes I am getting the following:

00988 -044 Lamp for Brake Light: Right (M10)

sporadic

012-Electrical Fault

00834 -041 Signal for Activation of Heated Rear Window

sporadic

0009-Open or

02071 -036 Local Databus

sporadic

004-No Signal/Communication

01320 -036 Control Module for Climatronic (J255)

sporadic

004-No Signal/Communication

00059 -044 Terminal 30 for Interior Lighting

sporadic

012-Electrical Fault

01520 -040 Rain and Light Recognition Sensor (G397)

sporadic

00926 -043 Terminal 30

sporadic

011-Open Circuit

Everything else appears to be working ok, LCDs & LEDs working on the control, fans operating, flap motors operating, just no cold air.  Have had system re-gassed twice and checked for leaks with none found.

Any thoughts?  I'm wondering if it could be as simple as a dodgy earth somewhere, or maybe something more sinister...  Otherwise, I'll get in touch with my friendly local member and get a full scan done to see if that helps identify the root cause.

Cheers, Alan

As having seen there is intermittent fault in the climatronic module, may I suggest fault could be located there?

If unit produces intermittent faults maybe the module does not give command for the compressor to start working so producing cold air (AC) in sequence..

It may worth starting searching the issue from this even if possible replace it but not sure yet...also it is costy.

Any one other in here could pass any idea..
