Hello, curiosity killed the cat..

What is this in aid of, directly behind the light cluster/unit on the ceiling.

Those are the grilles for the ultrasonic interior motion detection part of the alarm system.

 

The emitter is on one side, the receiver on the other.

Hey great info, I never would have thought, so I wont dismantle it, drill it and install internal security cams... Awww well, thanks m8.. :-)

There are a number of forward and rearward facing dashcams that attach to the windscreen to cover interior rather than for rear end shunts. 

 

Just ensure the camera has a 'park' option so that it operates when the ignition is off. My forward facing Roadhawk has this option, unfortunately my rear facing Transcend does not.

Yeah I have front and rear road 'dash' cams, and yes have them both wired to constant +.. I also wired an extra cig socket ti permanent +. Just gita make sure to disconnect when sleeping due to battery drainage...
