Octavia light warning

Featured Replies

Hi,

Bought a new Octavia yesterday. Well, new to me anyway. It's on a 12 plate. I have the dreaded light warning coming up on the dash. Have checked all the bulbs and nothing obvious.

As I understand it, a vcd diagnostic can be run to determine where the fault lies. Is there anyone in the Bristol or Somerset area that is willing to run this for me? Obviously would pay for any time costs etc. I don't have maxidot to determine where the faulty bulb is.

Any help much appreciated. Many thanks.

Cheers, Rich

something as simple as led number plate lights will trigger that warning!?

I've found it. The culprit is the top parking light on the rear cluster. I could see more clearly tonight that it has blown. Just got the bulb. Will replace tomorrow. Hopefully that'll cure it.

Looks a real pain to get to though being at the top of the cluster and not on the panel that pops out. Its tucked up behind some panel trim that looks like it doesn't come off.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, then you'll find it pops out without any difficulty at-all at-ll
