Hi. My dad has a fabia 2010 1.4 diesel. Abs light and some other lights came on the other day. Diagnostic fault codes were u0121 no communication with Abs brake control module. 01316 Abs control module. Codes cleared and car was ok for 2 days. Had another diagnostic as lights come on again. Same fault codes plus 01317 controls module in IC and 01312 powertrain data bus central control module. He has lost power steering for about 5 minutes and has now reported that Speedo and fuel gauge temporarily went. It all clears and goes back to normal. Any thoughts on this. Other than having his egr valve done last year and cambelt as per schedule the car has been ok. It on about 48000 miles. Thank you.

Sounds silly but have you replaced the battery? It may be getting weak by now and electric misdiagnosis might be happening, potentially.

Yes, the battery is probably in need of replacement, these are classic symptoms with a duff battery..
