Good afternoon, 

First post to the forum. Recently purchased an octavia, after my wife had a fabia that has been indestructible, whic we have had for two months. 

Been fab apart from today she pulled back to the house and the wipers went onto max chat and would not switch off.

In the end we disconnected the battery, which obviously stopped them, but now the wipers wont work at all.

 

Washer jets are working as well as rear wiper. Bonnet is down.  Looked at various fuses and relays, all look fine 

 

Have had a good root around on line but no one seems to have started with the loopy wipers. 

 

It does appear to have a hid direct kit on it, on there when we purchased it, not sure if that is going to get anyone going. 

 

   

The Body Control Module on the Octavia doesn't like retro fit HID kits as they can fry them, plenty on this forum regarding this. Do you have any issues with the lights and indicators? I would be looking in this area first.

All lights seem to work fine. One of the hid bulbs has been out for a couple of weeks but after reading about some problems with them I will take the kit off and put in standard halogen bulbs. Have taken the wiper motor off and had nothing putting power on the terminal so assume the circuit board has malfunctioned.
