Ice wiring and strange things

Wired up my Blaupunkt woodstock using the patch lead and it kept momentarily cutting out and the drivers door kept locking on its own...

So at the week end I will use the original loom, trace the live and switched live and swap them and connect the ariel amp to the live and try that (I take it they are 12volt anyway)......at least that way all the wires that were on there will be connected...

and maybe disconnect the gala, wire as from what I have read so far some radios can ground this and cause the same problems.

Does that make sense or can you see any flaws in my cunning plan.
