Heated front screen?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the Mk3 is available in any markets with a heated front screen? I know it isn't in the UK, but I know on other models that certain things like diesel preheaters are available in som places but not UK.

The reason I ask is, I might look at retrofitting one as it's so good on our Superb.

Now that would be a cool retrofit.

Had it on my old Superb, and it was fantastic.

Would be good on the Fabia, as they are shocking for misting up

Hopefully one of the Scandinavian markets had them as an option (but I doubt it tbh)

Good luck, and keep us informed

I don't believe that any VAG supermini has them. I had one on a Focus and it was fantastic (just a shame the car was an unreliable POS!). The heated screen was a big plus for the Fiesta when I was looking at new cars.

Having just bought mine last summer here in Finland, there was no such option as a heated windscreen available. I can deal without it as I've got a warm garage at home and at work.

Sounds like it may be a no then, as the fuel burning heater on the Superb is available in Finland but not UK.

Thanks for the other replies too.

I guess another thing to do is look at the circuit diagrams (current flow diagrams) to see if theres any circuit for it.
