Leaking roof....

Featured Replies

Good afternoon Gents,  my father has an Octavia mk 2 which has apparently developed a leak that is showing beneath the rear of one of the roof channels (the ones for fitting roof rails) there is no sunroof, so from what I gather one of the fixing points is leaking or the rivets have cracked and are allowing the water in.

Would anyone have a guide on removing the plastic capping to allow access to the channel please?

Many thanks in advance, Simon.

I've very recently had a similar problem which my mechanic friend has just found, unfortunatley, he's found it the hard way as it knackered the BC module which has stopped the car allowing to be started (and several other electrical parts of the car).

Hope you get sorted..

Bit confusing what you're trying to get off? Are you saying it's a hatchback and it's a lip above the door where roof rails clip on to (I am guessing as I have an estate!)?
