Parrot identification

Featured Replies

Hi all

Not a topic about birds, sorry :(

New member here - been lurking for a while..thanks so much for all the useful info!

Bought a 2nd had mk2 '62 octavia 1.2 a few weeks ago; love it.  It has wiring for a parrot (but no parrot) and i'm trying to figure out which one will fit.  Took a couple of pictures of the clip (attached) and it looks like a mini USB connector...  Does the hive mind have any idea which parrot might fit it?!

Thanks for any help!

Matt

EDIT: I also have a cable coming out in front of the gearstick housing that has an (old) ipod connector, a USB connector and a 3.5mm jack.  USB connector doesn't charge iphone or anything, there's no AUX option showing on the head unit and connecting a phone playing music to the 3.5mm jack so I presume I need a parrot to play stuff?

It looks like the fittings for a Mki9200;

The micro USB is for the screen. You can also insert an SD card in the rear of the screen to play music and so on.

The buttons to control the hands free is either attached to the steering wheel by a rubberised strap (not advisable - steering wheels tend to move!) or attached to the dash by self adhesive plastic adapter which it slides onto.

Have a look around the drivers side A pillar, or near the rear view mirror for the microphone.

As for the Aux, if you have the Jumbo Box (armrest), lift up the arm rest and the aux in is  located under a plastic flap near the drivers side.

Again if you have the Jumbo Box, the plastic 'handle' that slides up and down allows chilled air in to cool drinks and so on.
