Headlight washer not squirting

Featured Replies

Hi

So noticed today that the o/s headlight washer is coming out, but not squirting water onto the headlight. The passenger side is working perfectly.

Is there a way to check/pull out the washer unit, without taking the bumper off? Only to see if the washer pipe has fallen off, or to unblock the washer jets?

I did a search, but couldn't find anything similar to the problem I have.

Thank you.

Is it face lift or pre facelift, it is alot easier if u take bumper off and dosent take long, u can disconnect all pipes and wiring its simple, but take jet covers off first as jets are part of the bracket behind the bumper, and then u can check for blocked pipe or blocked washer

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. It's a late 2006, so pre facelift?

Sorry, do you mean I can pull the head washer jet off first, or bumper off first?

The cover comes off first if u gently pull cover up u will pull washer up with it, but be gentle the covers are brittle and the clips break easy, the washer is part of a bracket inside the bumper, u will have take bumper off to get proper look at it, plus the spring loaded so be carefull with them

Ah boo. Was hoping this would be an easy fix. Will probably wait until the spring. Too cold at the moment. MOT not due until Aug, so will have to get it done by then anyway.
