Mk2 Cranks but won't start BKD

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am new in this group so if i didn't posted where it should i am sorry!

I have a problem with my Octy 2.0 TDI BKD and i can't find the fault! All day long the car was ok and on the end of the day she decided not to start suddenly .

No error on tester, fuel pump checked and is ok , ECU i think is ok as long as you can connect to it and able to read minor errors which i have , tandem pump checked and it's ok , injectors checked and i have voltage on them , fuel filter changed (i change it when i saw that doesn't want to start , i thought this is the problem , new battery . I don't know what else to check and its annoying because even the garage couldn't find the problem. Today is the 5th day since the car is at the garage and still nothing. They said the crankshaft sensor is ok , but they told me yesterday that they found some voltage lose on 2 wires which goes to ECU but to be honest i don't believe it because almost everyday they came with another faults and after that they told me that is ok. I don't know what to do further..

In that day when the car decided not to start , before that i didn't kept the key long enough to start it  , the engine started but heard click from relays for about 3 seconds , engine stopped and since then engine didn't want to start again. In that day i checked the fuel feed and i noticed that fuel pump doesn't start when i put ignition on. Next day i connected the fuel pump directly to the battery and it worked. After that every time when i was turn ignition ON the pump was starting but still without success to start the engine. I putted ignition ON multiple time but no success. I don't loose oil or coolant , the serial on engine it ends with C so i don't think that it would be the problem which you can find it on A or B. When engine cranks it sounds healthy so don't think camshaft snapped .

Any suggestions ?

Cheers
