Saudis will want to drag out the use of oil as their wealth depends on it. With supermarkets now talking about restricting plastic packaging they could lose further revenue. Now all we need is fusion power!

I’ve read about the Saudis plans to transition to a non carbon based economy, so I guess this just gives them more time.

I think Tesla and google  have forced the industry forward by about 20 years. 

Coca Cola are going to recycle every can and every bottle,  (or some such thing, depends how worded, recycle others if not theirs.)

no doubt delivering full and collecting empties in a TESLA Truck / Van or TESLA Ship.

Oil used to produce plastic, for energy to produce electricity, transport the other things out the ground to make plastic like salt, 

and then to transport what goes in plastic containers, and move the products.

Lots of stuff coming out the ground that needs transporting including oil.

All good stuff if TESLA can walk the walk.

Lots of Electric HGV's and Ships, Trains etc required to transport those batteries.
