I have a automatic headlight fault coming up on my Skoda Octavia estate 63 plate. It only seems to happen when it's dark. It also is affecting the coming home lights and leaving lights. I have cleaned the sensor and have had the battery checked but no luck. Any ideas before I take it to dealer.

Got the same fault on mine. Had a chat with the garage I use all the time. 

They were saying it could be a problem with the sensor or the wireing where the mirror / sensor is.

I haven't got a clue. Ive got to find time to get the car off the road to let the garage have a look!

Anything new? I have the same mistake.
