Wiring up a roof mounted monitor

Featured Replies

Help me please!! I have just installed a roof mounted monitor in my edition 100 Superb, (that was the easy part) I routed the cable through to the boot mounted DVD player now this is where i come undone!

Where do I take my power from for the DVD player (They are both Centurion)?

2 people have told me to be very careful with VAG cars, then they went all technical on me! Talking about can bus thingies blah blah technobabble!!!

So in plain easy to follow instructions PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME ?

Cheers

Mayby best way is to get it staight from the battery. Put an on/off switch between battery and DVD player and naturally a fuse nearby battery.

On the other hand, does superb have a power outlet in trunk? If so, take it from there. I believe it has 10A fuse, so it would be enough.

Cheers Kilpijoki, you are a star! All done works just like the car, Superb. Never have my kids been so quiet in the back of the car, worth every penny!
