I can't see any stones or debris behind the pedal. In any case, it seems to happen when driving only. When I turn the car off it feels fine and loose.

 

I can still drive and get up to speed but it does need much more force on the pedal than usual.

 

Any help?

This might sounds like a silly question, but did you have your seatbelt on?  The one time I drove our previous Passat without a seatbelt (was only moving it 100m) I noticed the same.

Thanks for the advice. I did have my seatbelt on. It's been happening for a couple of months now on and off. But lately it's constant.

Anyone?
