DSG dumped?

Featured Replies

The latest VAG .’emissions’ designs have louvred grills and conventional 8 speed automatic transmissions.

So is this the end of the ‘technically interesting’ DSG?

A 5 year warranty on the horizon now, perhaps.

?

DSG's dumped from when on which models?

When does the order books open for the vehicles with the New Design vehicles with the 'conventional 8 speed automatic transmissions'?

So many vehicles requiring USA Emission standards will be needing different technology from those that are to EURO 6 and even Euro 7 Standards.

So the VW Group have not scrapped plans for the models currently being manufactured for the EU and other world regions or the Face Lifts just announced because they have a 7 speed or even 6 speed DSG.

They are going to be using Conventional Autoboxes as they have up to now where the performance requires it.

& they will continue to develop the DSG's with more gears for the EV's or Hybrids, maybe dusting off their 10 speed DSG,

or doing it as a 8 or 9 speed.

(more posts appearing on forums on the noisy 7 speed wet DSG's as have been getting fitted,  and issues with 7 speed DQ200 Twin Dry Clutch as Skoda have built over 2 million of now, and Skoda seem to have to do a 3rd Service Campaign on.

Vorsprung Durch Technik,  long past now....  People will say only a few are ever faulty, & people go on social media to complain, never to say how good the majority are. Pity then the Manufacturers are slow to say sorry to owners, let us fix that at no cost to you.)
