cd autochanger fault

Featured Replies

Second fault to appear within 24 hours of buying the car from skoda main dealer.

the cd auochanger in the octavia keeps displaying ( mechanic) in the operating window followed by, check disc, it will on occassions play a cd but the sound quality is appaling, looking at the wiring to the changer, there appears to be some corrosion on two of the terminals within the multiplug, anyone come across this before and how do you fix it ???.:mad

I take it its the multi plug on the changer that is corroded yes? If so does your rear screen wash work? The wiring will need to be repaired.

yes multiplug to the cd autochanger, just popped outside to check rear wash wipe all seams to be in order and working.?

must have been leaking at some point. When it leaks it runs down the back wheel arch area and into under cd changer area filling the plug with water!

My Autochanger sometimes reports 'mechanic' on mornings with sub-zero temperatures. It was ok when it was -6degC in Mid Wales yesterday though.

Ditto I get check magazine and similar things
