It reminds me of the F1 ‘active’ suspension tech.

I wonder how long it would survive on our corrugated outback roads.....it seems to add to unsprung weight which would surely give it a hard time.

The Lotus active suspension system (on both F1 and development road cars) used Bose components.

 

I was lucky enough to be given a ride in a car fitted with the active suspension, it was really spooky when it did its "party trick" of leaning into corners like a motorbike!

 

Reliability wasn't the problem that stopped it going into production - cost of the system was what stopped it, in one case of a US sports car (not too many of them...) the project was cancelled at the very last moment because of cost concerns.
