Seat belt chime reminder

Featured Replies

Yep I get the ping too below about 4 degrees. Makes me jump out of my skin sometimes. Maybe yours has been disabled with VAG Com?

Thats what I was thinking, if it has then it was done by the dealer before I picked it up. I dont even know if its possible?

I'd be a happy bunny if they put chimes on my little Fabia - like the Halleluja Chorus - for passenger seats when I'm carrying four teenagers. Not a lot on my car beeps otherwise, unless my anti-teenager earplugs have permanently kicked in...

The car can please beep at me though :), since at any given time, the Christmas tree of lights means I'll hardly notice another one when it arrives.

Ooops. Nothing to do with seatbelt chimes before setting off :sofahide:

it must therefore detect when someone is sitting in the seat, either by a sensor in the seat (unlikely)

I used to own a Volvo 440 which had a sensor in the seat for the heated seats, they would only turn on if there was weight applied to the bottom cushion :D

I don't notice the seatbelt chime any more, but, why not think of it as a reminder to put your belt on before starting the engine?

Then the chime is a helpful device to help you save fuel :D
