Carwow Video Explains WLTP

Featured Replies

An oldie but a goldie.  Looking forward to the various motoring mags and Fifth Gear testing real world cars on sale with WLTP figures to compare.

Real world driving my old petrol VRS could beat it's paper figure by 5mpg.

More recent cars have been so far off their paper figures it's unreal.

BMW went as far as to have a quiet word to check what mpg I would expect from the 335d before I bought it. They knew it would be off by miles, I assume they've had complaints.

Luckily I knew it would be way off and guessed about right what it would do (38-42 Vs 54 on paper).

15 Mazda diesel was also off by over 10mpg.
