vRS CR issue..

Featured Replies

Hi Folks..

I'm a new to this forum ,not used one for a fair few years...

Right,here we go..

MY10 vRS  CR...fired up this morning, all good pregnant Mrs on board and away we go,1/4 mile down the road, car cuts out, thought i'd stalled (unusual for me),dipped clutch turned key, started turning but alas not firing..walked home and then recovered car,no sign of any visible issues, pipes all intact and connected,no smell of anything unusual, upon turning the key injectors trying to fire can hear pump on priming,no smell of unspent fuel through exhaust, basic scanner plugged in and no codes coming up...anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Ed

Sounds similar to the problem I had driving down an A road and engine cut out wouldn't 're start even tried bump starting it while still rolling and was nothing turned out the MAF sensor had died maybe something to get checked

Cheers Fella..

Manged to work it out, battery was defunct, seems the car was shutting down various systems in order to conserve energy, just a pity it shut the power unit down, everything working fine all parameters are correct and normal service has been resumed..
