puddle under car due to air conditioning

Featured Replies

Has anybody noticed how much water puddles under your Karoq from the air conditioner in this recent warm weather in the united kingdom?

The Owners Manual (11.2017 edition) on pg114 states "After switching on the cooling Condensation from the evaporator of the air conditioning may drip down and form a puddle below the vehicle. This is not a leak!" and the fluid I have caught in a jam jar looks like and smells like water so no issues/faults/concerns here .... just wondering if anybody else has noticed just how much drips out and how this compares to other cars, it seems to be more than my Yeti did and my wifes Fabia does?

I wouldn't say it was excessive amounts, but pretty much the same as I've had on my previous cars (Octavia Estate / Passat Estate)

I think it depends on outside air temp and humidity aswell as running time, like you say the recent hot weather would only increase the amount of condensation with having the a/c on a lot.

Very similar amounts to my VW Polo 1.4TSI. Nothing that would cause me concern :)
