1.9tdi oil leak of intercooler bolt to sump.

Featured Replies

Hello again,

So yesterday after changing my oil I noticed an oil leak. Now originally I thought I messed something up, sump plug or oil filter not seated correctly. Fortunately not.

Now I crawled under and noticed that it seems to be coming off of a Torx headed bolt mount with a gasket/rubber mount that seems to be going into the sump on the Cambelt side in fact just below. I was tempted to nip it up but thought I might make it worse (cross threaded) or perhaps remove with oil spewing over the inlaws drive way.

It has recently had a camp belt and water pump replaced and also a new crank seal replacement.

I’ve included some pictures (best I could get) any help with be appreciated as always.
