Tyre pressures …

Featured Replies

… makes a massive difference to quality of drive.

I'm always pretty anal about checking tyre pressures regularly (drives my wife mad but that's another story ) but since returning from holiday at the end of August I haven't been on top of it. After returning the pressure to normal load from full load I forgot about it and continued pootling about at weekends until Saturday when the car felt a bag of the proverbial to drive. I kept worrying the suspension was shot, but then thought it must be rubbish road surfaces after the baking summer.

Anyway, I checked the pressures on Sunday and they were all 2 bar. I inflated them back to 2.2 bar all round and we drove out for the day. The difference was remarkable. The car was totally back to normal again. A big wipe of the brow with relief it was nothing more serious and I'm happy again. Who'd have thought a 0.2  bar deficit would make such a difference?

Just thought I'd share :)
