Has anyone any experience with getting a dog crate (for two dogs) for a Karoq. Specially fitted ones are frightfully expensive! Looking forward to some helpful tips, thanks.

I struggled to find a dog crate for the Superb without, as you say, spending a silly amount of money.  He goes in the Superb so infrequently that I couldn't justify spending over £400! 

 

On the rare occasion our Viszla goes in the Superb we put him in this, it's very good quality and stores flat when not in use.   A bit of a bargain IMO.

Size is perfect for him with enough space to sit and turn  but I'd only think about putting two dogs in if they were small breed.  It's a perfect fit for the width of the Superb boot; check the dimensions as it may fit the Karoq. 

Thanks, penguin17, we have a travel crate exactly like this and while it will fit our wire vizsla comfortably (and most likely the Karoq!) it will not take two dogs unfortunately. As you say it would be ideal for two smaller breeds. I'm also looking at boot liners as well - another post from earlier this year suggested them and included some pictures - very helpful. Still thinking and hoping for a inspirational moment!
