Hi all, brand new to the forum after purchasing my first Skoda a couple of weeks ago. Looking forward to getting started, definitely have a few questions to ask as I'm getting my head around this car.

Yeah it's very nice. Am finding all the tech difficult to get to grips with, it replaced a 2009 car which didn't really have any! Kessy keys, memory seats, personailsation etc. Thought I'd get on here to educate myself a bit and have learned a few useful things already this morning.

A lot of the gadgets or features once you set it up most of it you wont touch then much again.  Dont be shy to ask or search on the superb 3 section

That's good to know, as it's a used car (from an independent dealer) I've found all the key settings and personalisation set up for previous owners. Had a dabble at creating my own profile, but got frustrated and turned it off. Will get back to it soon, at least for now my wife and I have keyed in memory seat positions for the time being. I'm trawling through the forum looking for towbar info as I want to get my bike rack on there asap. Looks like a bit of a minefield though!!

With the personalisations you have to save it with the seat memory button, hold set for a few seconds followed by the number, you will hear a bong sound as confirmation. Make sure you only have 1 key near the car when u set it up as well. 

 

Cant help with towbar as i dont have one. Does yours come with a factory fit one? Or are you wanting an aftermarket one fitted? 

Thanks Adrian, I find the owners manual rather confusing and that info right there is golddust!

 

Don't think I have a factory fit, would consider a skoda retrofit or aftermarket depending on what the forum thinks is best. Just want to make the right choice because I've had issues with towbar electrics/fitters before. I'll start a post later asking whose had one fitted reasonably local to me.
